Saturday afternoon’s Speedy Xiwuqi road bike and MTB races initially threatened to get a rainshower, but eventually conditions stayed dry for the 72km and 40km long races. The men’s race was decided in a sprint with five in a time of 1h41. Mongolia’s 2024 race winner Enhkbaatar Saikhanbileg was surprisingly beat by three others and missed the podium. Hou Dongyi won the sprint ahead of Kong Wensheng.
Zhang Qian won the women’s race with an impressive “solo”, i.e. she finished six minutes ahead of the second female rider.
