Nordic Ways is very happy to see participant registrations for the Genghis Khan Festival being broken again for the second year in a row. At the end of the Early Bird phase yesterday, we have noted an increase in registrations of close to 500% year-on-year!
The 7th Genghis Khan MTB Adventure and Grassland Marathon is therefore set to exceed even 2012 and to become the biggest in its history. The organising committee wishes to thank everyone who has already committed to joining us in the Inner Mongolian grasslands this summer, as well as the Xiwuqi Municipal Government and all our sponsors and event partners who help us make this beautiful event happen!
It still remains possible to register for the various races until 1 July. People who wish to have a complete hassle-free experience can also still book our special travel packages, but note that these are selling out soon now.
Participants may also like to know that China Eastern now offers an evening flight from Beijing Capital to Xilinhot. Even though this flight implies a late arrival in Xiwuqi, it can give runners an extra day to relax and prepare before the big Grassland Marathon on Saturday morning. People who are wary of flying can also opt for our bus transfer from Beijing to Xiwuqi and back.
