The early bird registration period for the 2016 Genghis Khan MTB Adventure and Grassland Marathon ends in ten days, i.e. on new year’s eve. Until then, you can sign up for the races at beneficial rates.
As in the past years, the registrations for our cult event, which next year will celebrate its 10th year anniversary, are coming in rapidly. We recommend that you secure your spot as soon as possible. Please note that we will offer the possibility to book the event hotel, which is again the Xiwuqi Hotel, after Chinese New Year when we have received the official rates from the local tourist bureau. Transport-wise, there will again be official busses leaving Beijing on Thursday and Friday morning early and drive straight to Xiwuqi. Although this drive takes approx 8 hours, it is almost entirely highway and arguably the most relaxing way to get to the grasslands. There are also domestic flights from Beijing to Xilinhot (and a few from Shanghai, Guangzhou and Tianjin), but these do tend to take off with delays.
